Not sure if this would be better in TV addicts!!

Anyway who's watching - I'm giving it a go tonight.

I watched it, sure we must know someone Wink

I spent my time matching each household with the UK equivalent. No Steph and Dom though and they're my favourite in the UK version.

I didn't like the 4 girls, not the sharpest tools in the box especially the dumb blondes. Not gone on the 2 women from the Liberties, the voice of one of them was grating, she sounded like a 60 a day smoker, they were hamming it up for the camera trying to be like Sandra and Sandy. The two Pauls from Cork were a bit strange.

The Cavan twins, the Polish friends and the African family were the most natural in front of the camera.

Loved the Cavan twins.

Was it as good as the UK one? I could never see the point of a programme about people watching TV, but DH has suddenly become a violent fan, so I've learned to slightly love Scarlett Moffatt and Steph and Dom, June and pervy Leon and the funny Brighton hairdressers. And the two friends whose names escape me but who are filmed in a mobile home, and who have killer comic timing. The guy doesn;t even need to speak. His eyebrows have killer comic timing. Grin

The Cavan twins, the Polish friends and the African family were the most natural in front of the camera.

Thought the same; problem is that because of Gogglebox in the UK people know that they might because something, especially if they have a 'thing': four girls were too obviously trying to be natural whilst really having tried if that makes sense.

Was it as good as the UK one?

Didn't think so - not because of the people though (like the uk on there's some you like more and others you feel wouldn't be missed) but because I felt the editing was naff - they'd show a clip then the people talking about it but wouldn't refer back to the clip despite the fact they were obviously discussing parts that hadn't been shown in the clip.

I'll try again I think - but they might want to try more exciting things than stuff like The Angleus (though I've a feeling they might have started with that as it's uniquely Irish: hopefully anyway)

I'm not sure I'll bother watching the next one. Was there anyone from the western seaboard?

Amber76 · 23/09/2016 22:57

First time ever seeing this programme and am amazed that it is popular. Random people making inane comments eg her hair is lovely, oooh make us a cup of tea, etc. Why on earth would anyone want to watch it?! And i love light entertainment - but i really don't get this.

FayKorgasm · 24/09/2016 10:01

The Navan family Castleknock two and the Cabra girls are annoying. Twins were gas and I liked the family from Limerick. The little girl from Kildare is a dote.

hollyisalovelyname · 25/09/2016 10:23

I wanted to shout at the Cavan twins that it was Eva Herzigova in the Wonderbra ad. SmileOne was convinced it was Helena Christiansen and the other thought it was Heidi Klum.
The twins and the young daughter were the best.
I couldn't figure out the two Cork men.
Are they pals or partners ? (of course they can be both I know).

Thought Paul & Paul were a couple but it seems not:
