Yup. Get a VPN (google it) it will trick ur device in to thinking ur in GB

Game0fScones · 08/09/2016 18:17

Thanks Reddotmum but looks like this involves a monthly fee? Not sure I want to watch that much...

I pay an annual fee for a VPN, I think it was about $60. I mostly use it to watch Strictly. You are supposed to have a tv license to watch it, which I do, but they didn't ask for a license number just a 'Yes' box to tick.

Thanks TimTam will take a look.

Shop around buddy. Some are very reasonable. I use my hubs. He has his for work.

barkingfly · 08/09/2016 20:30

I highly recommend Tunnelbear-50 USD a year

Curragh · 08/09/2016 20:32

Identity cloak (google it) apparently will do this. Disclaimer: I have never actually used it but am assured by my young geeky colleague that it is easy!

Game0fScones · 08/09/2016 20:41

Thanks everyone I'll have a look at these.

I use Hola, it's free and works fine.

TimTamTerrier · 08/09/2016 22:27

The one that I use is Pure VPN. It was easy to set up and I can use my account on five devices at a time (possibly six, I can't remember).

Game0fScones · 09/09/2016 12:58

Oh I don't know Confused. It all seems very complicated. I might stick to live TV and Netflix. Thanks for all the suggestions though.

TBH if it weren't for Strictly I probably wouldn't bother. But last year the world cup was on so I couldn't watch it live on TV and my H kept 'accidentally' cancelling the recording (managed to record the football just fine every time though).

With a VPN service on your side, you can enjoy BBC iPlayer from anywhere in the world and have full access to all content available on this channel. Read this article myipservices.com/blog/best-vpn-bbc-iplayer . There you will find the needed info.

What is a VPN please ?
My Virgin/UPC recorder didn't record The Missing for me last night. Sad as I've seen the first three episodes.

hollyisalovelyname · 03/11/2016 18:29

Anybody???
Please.

Chickpearocker · 03/11/2016 18:32

Oh yes how can we get itv player in Ireland ?

magicstar1 · 03/11/2016 18:40

I have Surfeasy VPN. It's about €25 per year. When I switch to UK I can use BBC iPlayer and ITV player too

hollyisalovelyname · 03/11/2016 19:06

Thank you Magic
