The People's Republic and now living in England, but I'm not saying any more because half of Cork is on here, and I bet we were all at school together and hated one another. Grin

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 20/07/2016 15:03

I hated most of the people in my school Flat.

If you went to a secondary that was colloquially known as St Vincents on the Pill, then we all probably do!

TKRedLemonade · 20/07/2016 19:45

The Monaghan side so close enough :) but haven't lived there in years....although as previous poster if Monaghan played Dublin in GAA it would be Monaghan all the way!

MamMamMam · 20/07/2016 20:04

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 21/07/2016 21:00

I'm English. Loved in Cork for 10 years with DH, but now we're back in England. SnipSnip - I'm wondering if you're in the same village outside Cork where PIL live and DH grew up....

TKRedLemonade · 21/07/2016 21:51

Hi MamMamMam :) small world :) I did my Feis on Enniskillen every year.....to be honest it's still what I associate Fermanagh with mostly

Radyward · 21/07/2016 21:58

Grew up in mayo, lived in dublin for ten yrs then moved to meath as built a house etc etc. My heart is in mayo. Wished I had been bossy enough to push for us to settle in Mayo but hey ho . Dh says if we lived in mayo still I'd be complaining of dublin being soo far away and no blanch to go to 😆😆

Onynx · 21/07/2016 22:04

Living in East Cork Smile

Godotsarrived · 21/07/2016 22:10

MamMamMam · 21/07/2016 22:15

Lol TK i think i was at the feis every year. The tech in Enniskillen which is now south west college i think.

I was there with my fiddle in my younger years (until i realised i was awful)Grin later it was singing, and oral irish history which i won 3 years in a row because i always stayed away from the 1916 risingGrin

KittensWithWeapons · 22/07/2016 04:00

Melmam, hi neighbour Wink. Are you from the fah side?

KittensWithWeapons · 22/07/2016 04:07

middlings, but do you take the Dort Wink. I jest, I'm from Drawda, so not well placed to take the piss. Though I do love a Stah Bah Grin.

mathanxiety · 22/07/2016 05:49

From Shankill (southside of Dublin) but not even living in Ireland right now. I have a suspicion I may know some people here from the Johnstown-Sallynoggin-Ballybrack triangle, or that they may know people I know...

mineallmine · 22/07/2016 17:11

I'm northside Dublin, living 2 miles from where I grew up.

AGirlCalledJohnny · 22/07/2016 20:02

Originally from Cavan (insert mean hoor joke here), lived in Dublin, Oz, Edinurgh, Dublin again, Aberdeen and now New Orleans for last 5 years, DH is a yank and kids have dual passports. I am trailing spouse if you couldn't tell Grin We love it here, very settled so I hope we won't be moving again but who the fuck knows what's going to happen with the election.

KittensWithWeapons · 22/07/2016 21:23

Johnny, are you in fact a mean hoor? Wink Although in Drawda it's pronounced more like hoo-er. When we were teenagers going to student discos, like the Oasis in Carrick, we'd wear hooer boots (knee high platform boots). We were well classy Grin.
