We have the m&s ones that come with mattresses, they've been very good, very sturdy and got them on a good deal on the Internet using codes when they had a furniture sale on.

We also got the M&S ones, white, lovely, and not too expensive compared to some. Best thing is they actually assemble them for you - that's 5 hours of hell saved then!

agree with anchovies, my friend has them too and they're lovely - too tall for our DD's room though

DilysPrice · 02/05/2010 16:46

What are the codes please anchovies? I'm just about to order a sleep station for dd.

High bunks are a no until 7yrs.
We have a Thuka mid sleeper for DS(5) which is fab. It has a bookcase and 4 drawers under with a den bit behind the back, which DS loves. A mid sleeper imo, is still still high for a 2.5 yr old though.

Based on recommendation, yesterday ordered the M&S white one, with two mattresses, that separates into two beds & are assembled for you at delivery. Have been out and missed their call but they have run to book delivery. If you can wait about 7 weeks I'll review it for you!

Aspace also do very nice bunkbeds but are a bit pricier.

iloveasylumseekers · 02/05/2010 16:59

We got a beautiful oak one from Aspace with a 15% off voucher. Not cheap but fantastic quality - we will split them and use them as singles - shouldn't ever need to buy any more beds now.

I recently bought some from the web on www.pine-design.co.uk, they produce all the beds themselves, can make to different lengths, heights etc.
One of the most helpful shops I have come across.
Very strong beds, highly recommended.
