Hello, i wonder if anyone has one, knows if they are any good and more to the point where to get one?!
i know mothercare used to stock them but my big super branch locally tell me they are all sold off now and not even on their website.
I quite fancy one as i have a good cot but it wont fit our room for the first few weeks (my first was in it at 4weeks as moses basket was rubbish! but...then we had cot in our room as we didnt have the fitted storage then!!!!) so...i have a moses basket i could use...but...dd1 never seemed comfy cosy enough in it (admit its fairly basic and the hood wouldnt stay up) dont really want to buy another one as seems a waste and the good ones are expensive for the time i predict we will use it, should i consider a wooen crib? would fit by the bed i guess, some are cheaper than a moses and seem bigger?!!! any advice/info would be most welcome xx

I bought one for DD but I've never used it. It's still in it's box in the attic

I got a PFB-angst attack about the ventilation (with it having closed sides) and got a wooden one. It's a shame really, I just should have used it, I would of done for DS but I had the wooden one...

i had one from mothercare for ds, his nearly 4 now so was a while ago. it was a good idea in theory as you could also use it as a travel cot when they are still small as it folds down BUT when ds would fling his arms around the noise was pretty loud on the cardboard. also never seemed to stand right. basically ds did'nt stay in it long.

Sounds a total waste of money and not very eco friendly. Why don't you get a second hand wooden crib off ebay or from the news paper.

dont think waste of dosh as prepared to spend on something more comfy than the existing moses! think eco friendly is the selling point for me tbh as they are made from recycled materials and can be recycled at my local asda carpark after! if only lovely mothercare still sold them!

Found this via google link to old MN thread, lol. 'tis pretty pricey and would have to come from Germany.

This option would probably be the most eco TBH.
