Moses Baskets - Palm or Maize does it matter?

My mind is baffled by the selection of moses baskets on offer but wanted to ask if there is a significant difference between palm or maize?

Is there a benefit of one over the other?

I'd go for whichever is easier to clean.

I share a wicker moses basket with my sisters - you only need it for about 10 weeks - and we just order a new mattress for each baby.

I think I will get a bedside crib instead as baby can sleep in carrycot downstairs in the day.
