DS2 (4 wks) doesnt like the amby (gaaah) and has been sleeping in with me, meaning poor DH has been banished to spare room. Not ideal situation. Really want to get a bedside cot asap - any opinions on these two? thanks

Can't help with experience but keen to hear views as we've bought an Arm's Reach, we are due in Feb.

What attracted me to it over the Cosatto was how small it folds up - we have minimal storage space. It also seems really versatile.

On the downside, you need some time to work out the instructions!

I had an Arm's reach which I bought from ebay (got a new mattress cut to fit)- It was useful, but I had nothing to compare it to IYSWIM.

It was not exactly the same height as our bed, and the drop down side does not drop down completely, it leaves a 'lip'. I did not attach it to the bed with the straps- couldn't really see the point. I am not convinced it was far better than putting a normal cot next to the bed with the side dropped down to be honest...

If anyone is near Hertfordshire though, you can have it

Oh, and by 5 months it was too small for my average sized DD.

Just looked at the cossato, and it looks a lot better- also I think IKEA does bright coloured cots where one side is completely detachable...

tethers - where in herts? we're looking for a bedside cot to start moving DS into, as he has taken to wriggling almost under me during the night (we're co-sleeping). I'd def be interested!

tethersjinglebellend · 14/12/2009 19:03

Oh, arolf... DP has just informed me that he gave it away Sorry.

If it makes you feel any better, it wasn't great (sorry OP!)
