Baby bangs head in wooden cot !

I am finding it really hard to get my baby to sleep in a wooden cot, he bangs his head and hurts himself everytime he goes in it, I’ve tried bumpers (which I’m nervous about using anyway) but he pulls them down so have now resorted to trying a travel cot so he can’t hurt himself, has anyone had a similar problem?

Definitely don't use bumpers, they just aren't safe. How about a mattress on the floor and baby gate on the door? None of my babies ever slept in a cot, we had a floor bed set up from day 1.

Just use a travel cot it’s exactly the same. We went to a floor bed at 12 months anyway so that cosleeping was easier
