Recommendations for a single mattress for a toddler

I’m about to transition my nearly 2 year old from her cot to a single floor bed as shes really tall and I’m due with number 2 in November. I’ve gone down a rabbit while looking into single mattresses suitable for toddlers - does anyone have any recommendation?

I just bought a single mattress that I could afford for mine.

Watching this with interest as we're in the same boat and i'm unsure. I used the Jay -be mattresses for my eldest and she slept well....but they were very soft for an adult, and she quickly got heavier and needed something firmer. I might just go for a medium/firm normal single mattress, then might add a foam topper if it feels too firm initially. Might get a bit more longevity out of it then!
