This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Hi there, not sure if I’ve posted in the correct group/subject but we are expecting our third child soon who will eventually be in a nursery in our box room. Does anyone have any tips for creating as much space as possible in a small nursery such as particular furniture etc? I’ve attached a pic of the size/layout of the room in case it helps. There is a small radiator underneath the window. Thanks

You can get cots/cot beds with drawers underneath which give you some extra storage.

Don't get a changing table, either use the floor (my preference) or one that goes over the cot or attached to the top of a chest of drawers.

We got a beanbag for us to sit on by the cot if we were feeding/settling DC as feeding chairs or rocking chairs take up a massive amount of room.

We never had chairs / changing tables. Has to take the fireplace out as twins weren’t on the agenda!

We had the cots and a chest of drawers -
didn’t need anything else.
