Duvet for a small double?

Hi has anyone had a small double bed? Thinking of getting one for DS. Do you just use a normal sized doubled duvet? Or something special for a small double? I’m assuming I’d need small double specific sheets. Thanks!

Both our teens have small double beds. We use small double sheets but then normal double quilts and quilt covers which are fine.

We use normal double fitted sheets (just tuck them
right under the mattress) and normal double duvet and coven

How old is your DC? When mine was 2-3 we used a single duvet so it wasn't too big for them and about aged 4 we changed to a double, mainly as it was warmer for them too.

he will be two when we start using it so that’s a great idea to start with a single, thank you! I want a bed we can get in with him when he’s ill etc but could keep another spare single duvet for that instance.

This is exactly what we did it for and it worked wonders! My daughter has now moved to a double and my youngest who is 2 is in the small double now. We can get in with them when they wake while the other parent sleeps without being up and down all night!
