Bed guard for holiday

We are going on holiday this weekend with our 2 year old who has just recently transitioned into a bed. Is there any sort of travel bed guard or any tips to prevent falling out of the bed?
His bed at home is a floor bed and he has only come out of it once onto the floor however the one on holiday will not be and I’m assuming it will be tiled floors 😬

TIA!

What kind of bed is it?

We’ve done various things - pillow barriers, pushed bed up against the wall and then a side table with loads of pillows the other side.

You could just drag the mattress onto the floor. Or pack a bed guard if you have space.

Or if there’s a couple of rooms one of you could bed share and put the 2YO on the side near the wall.

We’ve just been away and our 2YO still slept in a travel cot but she hasn’t transitioned to a proper bed yet so it wasn’t too bad.

Roll up a towel tightly longways and slode it under the fitted sheet at the side of the bed.

We've just been away with our two year old and brought an inflatable toddler air bed with us. It folded down really small and wasn't too heavy so went in the suitcase. He's just recently moved out of his cot and we weren't confident he'd manage to stay in a bed, and we were also nervous about the tiled floor. He loved it and slept really well.

Put a pool noodle under the sheet.

That’s a great idea, where did you get your inflatable bed from?

It’s a studio apartment so I’m assuming it will be a sofa bed so probably not up against the wall. May have to think about one of us sharing with him in the actual bed while we’re away.
I’ve looked at bed guards but none seem like they would fit in a suitcase unfortunately.
I like the idea of a pool noodle at the edge of the bed if we could buy one over there
