Bed for 16 Month old for a boat

Our family have a river boat which you can sleep on ( not a canal boat) and I’m trying to find something that doesn’t take up loads of room because we just don’t have it for my crawling 16 month old son to sleep in. My only option at the moment is to be in the front of the boat with me and my partner but not ideal… any suggestions gratefully received! I can’t fit a travel cot as the walkway is too narrow. 😫

We always bedshared in circumstances like this. Is the bed in the bow big enough? Or is there somewhere else for you or your dp to sleep while the other one sleeps there with the baby?

I'd bedshare with a bed rail or look into a toddler bed (blow up type) on the floor and I would put extra safety locks on the doors and windows with a 16 month old

We slept on our boat when our son was this age and he slept in the middle of us so if he got up in the night at least one of us would have woken. I couldn’t have slept any other way. Even if they definitely couldn’t get off the boat there are so many dangers and stuff they could break or hurt themselves on on a boat so I needed to know where he was at all times.
