Cots and beds

This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Would you recommend a Snuzpod?

Does anyone have a Snuzpod? Would you recommend? Does it enable actual snoozing?

Expecting DD2 in a few weeks. For DD1 (who was a rubbish sleeper) I used the Ikea Sniglar cot from birth, taking the side off to turn it into a side-sleeper by the bed for the many thousands of night-time wake ups and feeds.

However we've since moved house and now our bedroom is smaller, and I've just realised there isn't space for the same bedside arrangement with a full-size cot.

Sleep guidelines have changed a bit since I had DD1 (who is now 4). DD1 would only deign to sleep in a Sleepyhead in her cot at night which was considered OK at the time but is now NOT recommended... so I'm also wondering if a smaller crib like the Snuzpod might give a similar kind of "enclosed" feeling that babies like, while being safer.

Or is there some other arrangement I should consider?

Thanks!
