Hi All,

We are considering purchasing the Chicco next to me forever crib as our 10 month old hates being in his own room and the fact this can be in a next to me cot for a longer period of time really appeals.

It is very pricey though so wanted to see if anyone has it and can offer any thoughts or if you know anything about it?

Thanks.

At 20 months my toddler could climb over easily as it’s not that tall on the sides and I’d also say past 18-20 months the mattress is very thin and firm and you cannot get any to fit these as it also has a funny lip cut out shape wise, I’d say if not a climber could last a few months but then as a floor bed I’d say the side has to be kept off and you could put a travel cot mattress enchner on (I bought a John Lewis one which was a little padded and waterproof) I’ve had this cot for 2 babies now

Why you didn’t use it after your child was 2 years old? Was it too small for your child? Could you use it as it says as toddler’s bed without the legs? Thx

As he could climb over I didn’t feel it would benefit me and the mattress is very thin and hard it’s nothing like a proper cot mattress would be on a standard cot I bought one again for my second baby and used up until 9 months but sold it and bought the tutti bambini xl as the side also comes down and you can convert into a bed with extras later down the line and use the same mattress still which is 120 x 60 x
