Extremely soft mattress recommendations please

Please! Help me find an exceptionally soft mattress. I can't go to test them out so need to order online. Can anyone recommend one? I'm really confused but reviews because some say things like 'not soft, more like firm' 😓

What age are you looking to buy for? They really should be firm for babies and children under 2.

Sorry this is for myself

I cant really help except to say how about a memory foam one?
I bought a soft mattress from Vispring and it was anything but which is a waste terrible shame as they are lovely quality matresses (and incredibly expesive unfortunately). Being quite light I find I need a soft mattress and found it very difficult to find one I liked. I recommend putting a mattress topper (feather or memory foam or both) on top of whichever mattress you do buy. It makes an enormous difference to how soft the mattress feels.

Thank you. Currently I have a VERY thick medium mattress with pillow top and feather cushions (pinched from my sofa 🤦‍♀️) and a folded duvet on top! Memory foam I don't like the smell but I think that's about my only option other than marshmallows added to the top!

Really soft mattresses are bad for your back.

The one I'm using is bad for my shoulders, ribs, hips and knees so I'm going to stick with finding a soft mattress 😃

I’ve been using a new Emma mattress for the past month and I love it. I was recommended it by a very v picky friend and thought that I’d give it a try knowing I could send it back after 200 days if I didn’t like it.
Yes it smells for the first month but boy is it worth it. No more waking up stiff with painful hips and knees and if I sleep on my arms they don’t go numb so it obviously distributes my (extensive) body mass well.

No they arent .

Different body weights need different levels of mattress firmness .
A mattress needs to have the correct for firmness just to support you whilst still allow the prominent parts of your body to sink into it (hips, shoulders etc). If you are very light you need a very soft mattress to find one which allows thus to happen. As long as your spine remains in a straight line whilst shoulders knees hips etc can dent in if you are lying in your side your mattress will have the correct level if support.

I'm 8 stone and 5'4 so that makes total sense, I absolutely need a very soft mattress ☺️

Did you manage to find a soft mattress, OP?

I'm on the hunt for the same having just got up for another miserable night on a rock hard mattress Sad

I haven't!! I had to replace my daughters mattress so my needs have taken a back seat. I did get her an Emma mattress (which did stink for a few weeks to the point I had to air it on the landing until it had calmed down enough!) but it is very soft (but a cot mattress so a lot thinner than regular size). Might be worth giving that a go? PLEASE!! Let me know how you get on 🙏 good luck!
