Hi everyone,

My friend is kindly lending me her next to me for my 3 month old baby. Do I need to buy a new mattress for it??

Yes I would. There is evidence of a small increase in SIDs associated with using a 2nd hand mattress from a different family. There is less of a risk in using a mattress that was used for a sibling.
