Snuzpod 2 questions

Hello everyone! I am a first-time poster and slightly longer-term lurker. We are expecting our DS in September and trying to keep costs down with the baby stuff. I fell in love with the Snuzpod 3, it was going to be my one big expense but now I saw a local lady is selling the Snuzpod 2 for £40 (even with buying a new mattress this is £130 cheaper) and I was wondering if anyone knew a reason to get the 3 instead and also at the risk of sounding cheap a friend told me the baby box mattress will fit in a Snuzpod so I wondered if anyone had done this?

I think the the main differences between the 2 and 3 is that the 3 has mesh on Both sides of the cot and it’s longer and wider. I think the 3 also comes with attachments to lift the top for reflux.

Ah I didn't think about the reflux top. I already bought the 2. Nevermind let's just hope he doesn't have it too bad. FYI the 2 has mesh zip both sides too. Thanks x
