Cots and beds

This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Hi Everyone

I just cannot decide on which is best. Does anyone have any recommendations? Are the bedside dots worth it, do I just get a normal cot?!

I liked ours (Nedula red kite) , but we tried two next-to-me's first and they both tilted towards the bed. Meaning baby rolled onto her belly at 7 weeks in her sleep.
So take a carefull look at the legs and straps before you choose one.

Nebula* it should say

It’s hard to tell what kind of baby you’re going to get. Neither of mine would sleep alone until they were 8 months old so the cosleeping cot became a storage space and the baby slept in our bed.

I loved our next to me (the dream model). Yes you do have to make sure you fit it properly to stop rolling etc, and if you have a baby that hates it that would be annoying.

A lot of people have converted a cot bed into the 3 sided configuration and tied to the bed.

If I had my time again I would have the next to me from day 1, so useful
