Organic cot mattress

Hi

I’m just about to start my 6MO sleeping in his own room and transitioning from his snuz pod to cot.

It’s a cot/cot bed so the mattress will be used until he grows out of the cot bed so I don’t mind spending a bit more on the mattress.
He suffers from allergies (not sure what at the moment!) so I want something good for that as well as organic if poss and comfortable enough he might start giving me more than 2 hour blocks of sleep!!!

I’ve been looking at the little green sheep twist one and also Naturalmat one. Little green sheep has more online reviews....most good barring some saying about the smell however doesn’t say anything about allergies. The few reviews I’ve seen about naturalmat are all positive & it’s specifically for allergies.

Anyone used either of both?
Or am I being silly here and should get one from John Lewis or something?

It’s worse than buying a pram all the choice!! Worth noting my LO sleeps on his front and back so his face is often in the mattress!

Any advice would be great :-)

Hi, know this is an old post but just thought I’d see which one you went for? I’m trying to decide also and seem to be more for naturalmat but can’t decide!

Hi
I’m interested in this too. Anyone using Naturalmat single mattress for their 5 year old, good or bad?

Thank you

Sorry @Amummyx I never saw your msg.
I got the little green sheep one and LOVE it.
I now have 2 kids and both started sleeping reallt well when I transitioned them to the cot with this mattress and they are both front sleepers so it gives me peace of mind that they’re not breathing in toxins.

@Bollinger1 I have since upgraded my son to the little green sheep single mattress and again, he sleeps really well on it. It is very hard unlike a normal single mattress but he loves it.

Hi Lou0712
That was my concern being so hard, incase it was uncomfortable (also he loves to bounce) can I ask how old roughly was your Son when he first used it. This is our second mattress & I am wondering if it’s a bit late to get him on one Ty

Lou0712 · 06/06/2022 15:34

@Bollinger1 he definitely couldn’t bounce on it! ive slept on it and it’s fine once you’re lying down it’s just when you first sit on it, it feels very hard!
he was 2.5 when he went into it…..straight from the cot bed with same mattress so he wasn’t used to a softer mattress

@Lou0712. Ah yes that confirms my thoughts. Thanks so much
