So I am due my second little girl in around 16 weeks time my other daughter will be 18 months. I will be using the same next to me and Moses basket I used for my first daughter. My question is I know people say buy new mattress is this even if it's your own child's stuff or only if you bought second hand? and if so where do you buy the new ones for the next to me?

I reused dd's for ds. It had a removable washable cover and the mattress itself was waterproof and could be cleaned. There is a bigger risk if you are using a mattress from another family rather than reusing for a sibling
