Toddler/child bed recommendations

Looking for some advice or recommendations please! Son is 2 (26months) and daughter 3 months. Son is in a cot bed with bars still up and thinking it's time to move him to a bed. Also need to get somewhere for daughter to sleep when she moves into her own room. Options are:

  1. convert son's cot to bed and buy daughter a normal cot

  2. buy son a toddler bed and give cot bed to daughter

  3. buy son a full size single bed and give daughter cotbed

Any advice/ product recommendations? Thank you!

i would go for option 3. get a low single bed, and put a bed rail like this up so your son can't fall out x
