Cots and beds

This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Which bedside cot?

I seem to see Snuzpod everywhere and was set on getting one for my baby due in May as there is a sale on. However, now I am looking I am unsure. The Jane Bedside Crib seems to be very popular, along with the Chicco. If getting Snuzpod I will be ordering it tonight, so this is a quick attempt at getting some feedback on the cots and what people prefer.
Thank you in advance x

Neither the chicco or the snuzpod went high enough to match up to my divan bed so it's worth having a look at sizes and checking that they will fit your bed if you haven't done already as that may impact on your decision.

In the end we just took one side off a normal cot bed and pushed it up to the bed. When DD was more mobile/less needy during the night we moved it away from the bed and put the side back on. I appreciate not everyone has the room to do that though.

I had chicco next 2 me and it was great. A good bit cheaper than the snuzpod too. However when my baby was a newborn the next 2 me seemed massive and she was lost in it and didn't like it, so she slept in the Moses basket until she was about a month old I would say, then it was perfect.
