Co sleeper cot..

Would really like to get a co sleeper cot this time around, look the biz and I've heard great things. Not sure which is the best to go for. Id love one flush with the bed, but I also see the Arms Reach one gets great reviews but I don't like the idea of the dip in them. Has any one used got any advice for me on what they used. Also don't want to spend big bucks, 3rd and final baby.

Get whatever cot you like and take the side off. It really doesn't have to be a special overpriced co-sleeper cot, just as long as it's sturdy enough to take the side off.

Then shove it up against the side of your bed and adjust the height until the mattresses are level. If you like, you can use bungee cords to hold the bed frame to the cot frame, but we didn't find it necessary as both were fairly immovable on our flooring.

The trick to avoiding the gap is to pull the cot mattress flush up against the bed mattress. Then pad the gap on the opposite side (up against the far side of the cot) with a rolled up towel or swimming pool noodle. A large fitted cot sheet will fit over both, or you could use a flat cot sheet instead.

Worked perfectly for us with both a smallish wooden crib we'd been given (for the first 4 months), then with a full size cot (until 12 months).

We've hired a bednest for DC3. Haven't used it yet, but it arrived last week and looks really good. Liked the hiring aspect as not planning any more children after this one, and trying not to buy too much stuff!
