Hello, does anyone know if the mattress cover on a chicco next 2 me is removable and can be put in the wash? There is a Velcro part to indicate that it can be removed but it is so tight that I daren't take it off incase I can't get it back on!! Also, anyone got waterproof but breathable sheets to fit from anywhere? The mattress is so hard too I am tempted to get a custom made one that is slightly softer.

On a similar note, does anyone know of a crib of similar size to the chicco? Our baby is quite big and doesn't fit in the standard glider crib or Moses basket but is too young to go into her big cot in her own room just yet.

Can't answer any of the above questions but how have you found the Next2me? I'm about to order it....

I actually love it BUT not as a co-sleeper! I use it as an oversized Moses basket as my little one was bashing her arms and legs on the sides of anything smaller. When using it as a normal crib eg with the side zipped up, it has a mesh panel so you can still check on the baby without getting up to peer over the top. Obviously if you use it as a co sleeper eg with the side dropped down then it is even easier. Me and my baby just like our own space ;-)

I would say though that the mattress is quite hard! And now I've discovered impossible to wash the cover :-( It is definitely the biggest of the co sleepers too so make sure you have the space for it.
