Help me - I can't put my Cosatto Hawaii cot up!

Hi, a little help from anyone who's better than me at DIY would be appreciated right about now..

I've bought a second hand Cosatto Hawaii cot, it's a drop side cot and I cannot, just cannot work out how the drop side fits on. As a result I currently have a three-sided cot and the bottom keeps falling out. Has anyone had one of these and can explain - using simple, one syllable words preferably - how the hell the fourth side goes on?? I can try and put photos up if that makes things easier.. I've looked for a manual online but there's nothing obvious popping up.

Thanks!

They might be similar fittings?

Thanks woodenheart, I've had a look at this but it doesn't have the same model or even a similar one as far as I can see. I might have to try phoning them in the morning.

What a pain, They are hsrd enough with the instructions!

I know! The thing is there are some very obvious holes and very obvious screws that should fit in them, but when you put them together it just doesn't work...my poor wounded DIY pride!

Do you need to put the base in through the top of the cot, rather than under the cot,

I had to on mine, so it sits on a lip,

If that makes sense?

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 19:01

Fixed it! The problem was that some of the screws had plastic caps that had come loose and needed reattaching to the correct place, they'd got stuck in some of the holes. Feeling very proud of myself and now have a lovely cot ready for the babies when they arrive Grin

Thanks for the suggestions woodenheart!

Erm hate to say it, but have you done the

" Is it definitely up " test?

By that, I mean have you got in it, to test the bottom is well & truly secure!

Make sure the curtains are closed as it might look odd Grin

BUT congratulations! Thanks I tried to lower the base on ours, & got in a right pickle!

Ha I'm 38 weeks pregnant with twins, I can guarantee that if I got in it there would definitely no longer be a bottom! I've given it a good slam around though and will put something heavy (but not as heavy as me) in to test that nothing falls out or off...

Grin oh twins, how wonderful, my LO is nearly one now, it truly does go quick, I never thought it was so true, glad the cot is sorted, in time!

as my bump was a week early
