Any advice/experience would be welcome. We have looked at the chicco next to me at £125 new & was wondering what else is out there? Dont want to spend a lot of money as im not sure how long/what age it will suit baby for. Have looked at the ikea 3sided cot but its very basic for £60 & then the cost of a mattress on top. The chicco comes with a mattress while appeals to us. I dont think nct rent to northern Ireland which is the other issue & the ebay ones dont post to northern ireland either. Help? Please and thanks

You can hire an NCT bednest for £99 for six months (get seventh month free if you need it), comes with new mattress and sides each time and is 100 % secure to your bed unlike some others, when you consider they are £300 plus to buy I think it's a great deal... I have one on order Grin

Ps, they now ship to North America from the Bednest official website do I bet if you enquired they would do NI

I bought a second hand bednest for £30. But i was lucky. Was fab though, loved it. Maybe try and get one second hand?

We had the baby bay and I found it brilliant. I actually bought the maxi (supposed to be for twins) because we thought DS may well be long as we are both tall. It lasted til 6 months easily and he could have stayed in it longer had we not moved him to his own room.

You can buy via nct website.

Oh the baby bay is £230 starting price, ideally we dont want to spend as much as £150 as it will prob only last 6months

We've hired the nct bednest too, it's a great deal considering you don't know if the baby is going to take to it, or if they do, how long they'll use it for.
