moses mattress and warning about vomit

Hi there,

I've just bought a new Moses basket mattress online through amazon. It conforms to the various safety things it needs to but on the packaging it says 'warning may not soak up vomit' ... Do any of them?! Isn't it a bad thing to soak up vomit or is it riskier not to in case of drowning? Or is it not an issue?

I don't really know but noticed exactly the same thing on a cot mattress. I presume it's saying that vomit might pool and then be inhaled. But given that the advice is not to leave them sleeping alone for the first six months anyway it's not something that would worry me personally.
