Ikea cot mattresses

We've inherited an Ikea cot and are looking to buy a replacement mattress as the old one smells a tiny bit damp.

The ones on their site range from £25 to £100 - they have cold foam (whatever that is), latex/memory foam and sprung mattresses.

Des anyone have any advice/recommendations re Ikea cot mattresses, or, failing that, any thoughts on what kind of mattress is generally better for a cot?

We've got a sprung ikea one (Vinka I think) and are happy with it, but only been using it a few months so can't vouch for how well it lasts. Seems comfy enough and I think sprung is most supportive - we didn't think the alternatives (foam etc) would be as comfortable or breathable and perhaps not last as well. But I may be wrong! I'd choose a sprung mattress for myself so automatically went for one of those really. Ikea cots are standard size I believe so you don't need to stick to ikea mattresses anyway.

Thanks Ducks, that's very helpful - I'd just assumed they weren't standard size because all their beds are daft sizes, but that makes things easier if we can just go and choose one from elsewhere! (nearest Ikea is 1h45 drive).

Our mattress is sprung with a layer of memory foam but I'd certainly prefer a sprung mattress for myself over an entirely memory foam one, so I think we'll go with that logic - thank you!
