I need to buy a cot or cot bed but need help, do you actually end up converting a cot to bed? Is it worth paying more?

Why can't we move to an actual single bed after a few years?

We have a cotbed. I suppose it shifts the point where you have to buy a single bed forward a bit. Seemed like better value to us in that you get more use out of the item.
