Ikea Junior Mattresses? Leksvik Extendable Bed

Hi,

DS is presently in the Leksvik Cot and will soon need to move to a bed. Am thinking about the Leksvik Extendable Bed as it looks nice and will match the rest of the Leskvik furniture in his room (plus the room is quite small).

Any thoughts on the Ikea mattresses? He has a foam one in his cot and sleeps fine on it. Not sure which one to get for the bed though? Keep with foam or try a spring one?

Just wondering if anybody had one of these beds and which mattress worked for them. Would a non Ikea mattress fit this bed at full length?

Thanks
Pie

Which width is it? Some of the extendable beds are only 80cm wide (instead of 90)

It's 80cm wide?

Ikea do stock the mattresses to go with it (foam or spring) but am now swithering about getting a custom one from babymattressesonline.

I'd get the thickest Ikea one - it comes in parts, yes - one cot bed sized and two pillow sized ones to make it up to full single length?

If you're going to put it straight into full single, then I'd get a normal single straight away as that extra 10cm width makes a difference.
