Hi
I am due next weekend and decided to buy a Tomy sleepcurve mattress for the baby's moses basket www.tomy.co.uk/ENG/PRODUCTLIST/SLEEPCURVE
They seem to get really good reveiws all over the net guarding against flat head syndrome etc.
It arrived yesterday and is a lot more "shaped" than I expected i.e. really does seem to force the baby into a particular position; the dip for the head for example is quite pronounced.
I suppose I just want to reassure myself that nobody has had any bad experiences using them with newborns?
Also we've been told over and over that the baby needs to be placed at the end of the moses basket to prevent it going under the covers (feet to foot). However because of the shape it's not possible with this mattress - the head would need to go into the head bit at the top. I presume this would mean that the baby can't slide down so no need to do F2F but again, if anyone can reassure me that would be great.
Sorry if some of these questions are stupid - first baby nerves!
