bedside cots - help

DS is 2 months old and is fond of co sleeping. finding it hard to relax while he's in bed with us.

like the idea of bedside cot but which one?

like arms reach at the moment but there's the cosatto to consider.

or should we just buy a normal cot and take the side down?

i'm nervous about having a gap between the mattresses and don't want to waste money.

any thoughts appreciated as i deseperately need sleep!

Bedside cots are great, they made a huge difference for me, I could sleep but baby was just an arm's reach away. We have the M&P Close and Cosy, but they no longer make it. The Brio Global was also a good one, can still get them second hand. I have also heard people using a standard crib, removing one side and drilling a few extra holes to raise the mattress up high enough.

The smaller bedside cribs like the arm's reach do look cosy.

The close and cosy came with a bolster to cover the gap, but I didn't like it. Instead I rammed the two mattresses together and stuffed a rolled up towel down the far side of the cot and tucked the sheet over it.
