This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Do they make such a thing as a cot bed that is 141cm long max?

Small room and need to shoe horn it in somehow! Can't move house!

Any help/guidance much appreciated.

BTW. I am the Dad to be. First post, so HI!

The mattresses look to be 140cm so I don't fancy your chances.
What are you going to do when they need a single bed?

That's what I fear Paisley. As for the single bed it's a case of cross that bridge when we get to it. Hopefully might be in a position to move by then?

Cheers

Just go for a normal cot.
It gives you a couple of years to think about it.

If it's any use, the Ikea cots are sort of cotbed like in that they're cot sized, but a side comes off and they do some bedding for them so that you can use as a bed.

We're planning on doing this as DS1 will start off in a tiny bedroom, and we don't know if we're going to have DC2. If we do we'll have to cross that bridge as you say, but a second DC could use the cot and we'll need to buy a bed for DS1, so there's no loss!

HTH :)
