What do you look for in a cotbed?

Drop sides?
different height positioning?
underneath storage?
cot top changer?

have been looking at this but not sure as it doesnt have drop sides?

Drop sides are very useful because as the baby gets bigger and heavier it can be hard work to put them in. For example, if they are already asleep it is easier to lay them down gently if you can get down to same level rather than leaning over.

The different height positions are useful too. A tiny baby who can't roll or stand up can sleep on a high position which is easy for you to access.
As they learn to stand up they need to be deeper in the cot to prevent them climbing out.

Personally, I have never used underneath storage, but I'm sure it's useful if it's there.

I have never used a cot top changer either.
I have always changed nappies on a changing mat on the floor.

I couldn't find a cotbed with drop sides (sure they exist, but couldn't find one)

Underbed storage is handy

I wouldn't bother with a cot top changer unless it's for a very small room and you're limited on space (just get a chest of drawers and put a change mat on that, or change on the floor)

3 different heights is essential though, IMO. More so that drop sides (which I only used when I was changing the bed as the noise of lifting it back up woke DS.

So.. silent (or near enough) drop sides if you can find them, otherwise don't bother.
