bed guard- toddler-which one

Im looking for a white bed guard (or two!). Ive seen some wooden ones by baby dan but cant work out how they fit to the bed (anyone know?) and if they move out of the way so you can change the bed sheet?
The lindam ones look like they do the trick and are not expensive but they only seem to do pink and blue in colour, both of which would clash horribly with my unisex nursery!

Although the white ones look nice my dc's tend to get thir legs stuck in the bars.
We have got a travel one (made by Jane) which is dark blue, it doesn't look as good as the wooden one but its practical.

Thanks -That sounds interesting - hadnt thought about stuck little legs!! Couldn't i just put a cot bumper on it though?
