stair gate

We need a pressure fix stair gate for a gap which is 80.5cm at its narrowest and 85cm at its widest. We have been to Mothercare and I?ve searched online and I?m really struggling to find a suitable one. We bought a Lindam Sure Shut Axis which was too small; bought an extension and then it was too wide, arghh! Any advice would be gratefully received.

We had to get the Lascal Kiddyguard Retractable Baby Safety Stair Gate. Its expensive at £80 but it was the only one that matched the width of our stairs which are quite wide. Maybe you could get one on ebay.

Thank you Tras I will look into that. I had no idea it would be so complicated to get a stair gate! Thankfully the Lindam one that wouldn't fit at the bottom did fit at the top, so at least we were able to use it!
