Moses baskets

Hello! The cot will only fit in the nursery, so as the advice is to have baby in our bedroom for first 6 months would you suggest it's a good idea to buy a Moses basket? I'd imagine the benefit is the portability and that it takes up minimal room. However, roughly how long before they outgrow the Moses basket? Appreciate that this is like asking how long a piece of string is, but thought i'd ask anyway and take it from there! All ideas and suggestions welcome. Thank you.

What about a crib, they are meant to last longer than a moses basket.
