We are about to have one built for DD, to make room for her to have a desk in her room.

I've heard that 6 is a good age. She is about to turn 6.

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by 'platform bed'. We have a staggered bunk like this, and dd age 6 sleeps on the top and has since age 5 with no problems. hth

yes, like a top bunk. Only without another bunk under it. Thanks!

The only times my kids have injured themselves on it is when they've been messing around. You need to be pretty strict about that (not playing on the bed), but so long as there are rails, she wont fall out at night or anything.

When she is ill though, we do put her mattress on the floor so we can get to her easily, and so she doesn't vomit all over the place!

I bet she'll love it!
