mystery shopping - a good way to supplement income ? if so how do you delare tax.??.

Need to earn a bit more cash.!! does mystery shopping provide a small but reliable income in anyones experience? Also - how to you declare the earnings?.The website i looked on said you need to declare earings but can off set some things such as petrol- web site says refer to your accountant - i dont have and could not afford one ! any advice?- never been self employed before and simply dont have a clue how to to tax stuff.!!! thanks !!

I did this a couple of times, really not a good earner IME, you basically get expenses, money to cover what they are asking you to buy plus a couple of quid on top. The company I signed up for just sent emails out to everybody on their shopper list, and those who responded first got the job, you could also keep checking the website but the better jobs got sprung upon pretty quickly. It might work differently with other companies though.
