vat on shoes purchased for children with size 7 feet.

Does anyone else resent having to pay vat (currently 15%) on shoes that are for children. My ten year old son is size 7 (adult size) and I end up having to pay vat on all his footwear. I discovered that children's vat free shoes only go up to size 6.

Not ideal is it? The way the law is worked is that when children start to blend in with the size of the general adult population VAT is charged.

Ha, yes my son is now size 7 & growing fast so am now getting adult shoes for him whereas I'm a size 5 & have only bought children's shoes for me as they are cheaper. So we've now balanced out.unfortunately!
