Most of it is utter tat (check out some of the clothes!) but I got a copy of Studio catalogue through this week (no idea where they found me!) There's some pretty good deals on toys as there's 60% off everything. Things I noticed were

Fairy tale castle - £7.47
Girls dressing up trunk with outfits - £9.17
Bratz Luggage set - £8.49

Don't know why I noticed those as we don't even have girls!

reban · 05/09/2009 10:39

studio can be quite good but you pay £4.95 delivery where you order one thing or 20. I did get some personalised man u pjs for a nephew from them half price for christmas last year and i think i paid about £7.49 so they were good value. I think some kids would like anything as long as it has their name on it!

i also got some books from amazon this week as stocking fillers. They have a whole section of £1.49 books

hippopotamouse · 05/09/2009 11:22

Card Factory are doing 5 rolls of paper for £1 just now and my local BHS are clearing out some of last years decorations. I'm just starting uni so I've started much earlier this year!

Heated · 05/09/2009 11:34

Tesco are doubling up the value of vouchers on toys - so half price.

sarahken · 09/09/2009 23:53

Got a bouncy castle last week in Tesco for £10 and a pair of roller skates for £1- they had loads of summer toys reduced but surely alot of the toys are suitable all year round. Lots of great kids dvd's in Morrisons for £3.99, great stocking fillers. Got Bear Grylls Born survivor 3 disc dvd box set for £3.99. Play.com have started doing toys now, and most have up to 60% off the RRP and are free delivery also.

I would hate to think what I have stored in my loft Bought loads in Boots January sale- Ruby and Millie make up cases £50 to £12.50 etc- use these as birthday gifts. Haven't had to buy one birthday pressie so far this year . I think the key is planning. I went on the Boots webiste after xmas and made a list of all the sale items I wanted and for who's birthday, and waited till they reduced again and hold their 75% off sale- they do this every year.

I tend to buy all year, whenever I see a bargain. Toys reduced from £20 to £5 make great gifts for kids parties and you always have things in for last minute invites. Plus shops like home bargain, b&M, and poundland often have fantstic stocking fillers and hugley discounted toys.

stressed2007 · 10/09/2009 14:49

if you check out the kids and deals section on hotukdeals.com people post all the bargains they see immediately - before they disappear - so always worth keeping an eye on there.

stressed2007 · 16/09/2009 15:38

just to say keyboard has had some terrible reviewe apparently you can't play more then one key at a time - do you want me to link reviews for you?

AboardtheAxiom · 16/09/2009 15:46

Not sure if this is allowed, (if not sorry MNHQ just delete my post) but I have some items for sale - new things such as gifts and childrens books here in the for sale section which would make baraginous xmas items.

sarahken that's what I tend to do buy all year when I see bargains, always have nice presents to hand then.

DS is getting into lego so will have a look at that link lilyloo.

stressed2007 · 16/09/2009 16:42

I thought it looked good too and was going to buy too before saw review. I suppose you could order to store, have a look and then decide if they let you do that?
