Cheaper greetings cards?

I used to buy Whistlefish cards but even they are seeming a bit too expensive now. Does anyone know anywhere that does cheaper but still nice quality cards?

Nearly every supermarket sells cards. Some are fairly basic for 25p, but often they have 3 for 2 and a range of nicer ones too.

I buy most of mine at Card Factory. The quality is very good and many cards are in the 79p-99p range, although some are cheaper or a little more expensive. There are often ten cards for £1 offers, too.

Card factory are good but not Whistle fish quality I always get them in multiples of 10 as it works out cheaper in fact I do a big order to avoid postage.

If you’re at all craft-y you can buy a pack of 30 blank cards (either white or mixed colours) with envelopes for £3.50 in the Works, and make your own.

Cream Cornwall currently has 10 for £10, but Whistlefish probably has more variety 10 for £12 isn’t bad

Lots of charity shops have a card rack, 99p or so, always find nice ones there.

I don’t know how much the cards were that you were getting, but online shops like moonpig or Thortful do an annual subscription for about £10 that gives you a discount off every card you buy. I think you get your first card free too. Thortful do multi buy offers too, I tend to buy a batch at once.

Card factory but out of convenience we use moonpig mostly.

Home Bargains?

I like Cards Direct, although despite the name they’re not an online retailer. They have really lovely cards, many for under £1.

I keep wishing they’d open more stores as we moved from near one last Autumn but I stocked up before we moved and paid around £8 for 10 cards. I’ve now run out and your thread has prompted me to see if there’s a store nearby and thankfully there’s one about 20 minutes away.

I was surprised by the range at, well, The Range. I'd never thought of them for cards but I went in for crafty stuff and I'd been looking for a 70th birthday card that didn't have country cottages, vintage cars or champagne and flowers on the front (1960s teenager for goodness sake) and they had a better selection than the main card shops.

Might be worth a look.

I just pick one up in Sainsbury’s on my way to the relevant occasion! I don’t put much thought into cards beyond not being gushy.
Probably not what you’re looking for, I don’t value cards much either though, other than if there’s a nice personal message written inside.

They’re saying 10 for £12 on whistlefish atm.

Aldi and lidl have some nice ones too

i buy in charity shops when I see them usually 50p a card I have a binder with months in it and a list of cards needed . I fill it up when I see cheap cards . Also card warehouse do 29p cards

I have a box of cards that I buy because I like them, some get used some don’t!

Whenever there’s a sale of cards I’ll buy some especially naice cards.

I also buy cards from charity shops, although they aren't 50p round here! Still less than a lot of places though. Thortful do packs of cards - 8 for £10. We have a Cards Direct, but I've not had a proper look around, will do that tomorrow!

M&S cards used to be nice, and quite reasonable, but I haven't bought any there for a while.

I make my own, but cards are so cheap in some places.
