I need help budgeting.
middle earners but we seem to have nothing left at the end of the month. Want to save for a decent holiday abroad every year if we can.
take home pay is about 5k. Bills come to about half of that. Which includes savings of £300. We seem to be constantly dipping into the savings recently.
the money left needs to go on food (2 adults 2 children) and petrol, clubs for the children, clothes, days out etc.
is there an app I could use?

I’m not sure of an app but hopefully the link I’ve pasted takes you to Money Saving Expert’s page where there’s a link to their budget planner spreadsheet. I’ve filled it in myself and it’s thorough, definitely helped.

You can download digital downloads of excel or google sheets budgets from Etsy for a few quid and just input your numbers and it’ll have the formulas in there

Thank you both! Will check them out.

YNAB is amazing - links to your accounts / credit cards etc and all transactions are in one place.

You tailor your own plan for monthly, annual and longer term goals.

Takes a while to get it running smoothly but it’s amazing and loads of videos and tutorials to
help.

I second YNAB.
