Are there cheaper options to a ring door bell that work just as well as the company Ring?

As above, Ring is fairly pricey, any cheaper recommendations would be hugely appreciated x

The Eufy one is good and there is no contract tie in.

I’ve got a eufy solar camera, it’s not a doorbell, and the camera and the app are both excellent. And no subscription.

Amazon blink ones are a lot cheaper, we bought a refurbished one and have had no issues. We pay around £3 a month for the extra features via the Amazon app. It also links to Alexa to use as a chime.

Another vote for Eufy. Subscriptions can fuck right off

Eufy definitely.

We recently renewed our Ring doorbell as it was full of rain water and generally was useless. We now have a Reolink - no subscription charges and can be connected to an app on your phone or pc if preferred.

Onemoret1me · 27/03/2026 21:33

Came on to say eufy too

We have Tapo and it's great. Cheap bro buy easy to install and has loads of additional options (window&door alarms/fridge temp alarm/automatic lights/plug socket switches etc

LadyVioletBridgerton · 28/03/2026 15:36

ReoLink is great. No subscription either.

We’ve just installed the Aqara one. No subscription. It seems to work well and links onto our phones. Only issue is that you can’t get more than one chime with and I’m worried we won’t hear it upstairs
