Has anyone switched to Home Energy for gas/electricity?

I did a price comparison on money saving expert and Home Energy came up as being able to save me £750 per year on my Energy bills. I am currently with Octopus and at the moment am paying £330 per month. Usage last month was £260, mainly due to charging an electric car at home.

I have initiated a switch and am crossing my fingers everything goes ok as they seem to be a smaller newer utility company. Their prices are 5p cheaper per kwh for electricity than Octopus and the standing charges for both are also cheaper. Gas prices are a little closer but still cheaper.

Seem to get decent reviews on trust pilot. First time I've switched in years so hope I dont regret it!

Today is the day of my switch. Did my meter readings for both Octopus and Home Energy (who also have an app) on 1st December. Should be due about £300 back from Octopus as they just took a payment on 1st December. New company has kept me updated on progress so going well so far.

Everything still going smoothly. 1st payment taken on 11th December and then I messaged to change the usual payment date to the 1st of the month which they have actioned for me.

Octopus have now produced my final bill and paid the credit balance back to my bank account which was £374!

Here's to cheaper gas and electricity.
