Hi all so I’ve been offered a property and suppose to move in 2 weeks currently no savings etc need to get foooring done buy furniture etc so stressed out as I really can’t afford all of this right now is there any organisations anyone knows that could help?

Are you entitled to UC? And are you in contact with your local council?

You may be eligible for your council’s Household Support Fund, depending on your income and circumstances. If this a council or housing association home you can also speak to your housing officer about any loan or grant availability for tenants in your circumstances or signposting to other organisations.

Where in the country are you? Otherwise, Emmaus shops (emmaus.org.uk/your-local-emmaus/?region=all), if you have one near you, are great places to buy reconditioned furniture and electrical goods from, and they will sometimes also deliver. For flooring, it may just be a case of making do and gradually doing it room by room as and when you can afford to do so. If the floors are bare you can look on e.g. Gumtree and Freecycle for people offering free and cheap carpet offcuts and mats which will tide you over.
