I’m going to have 2 under 2 very soon. For my first child I got statutory maternity leave. Then once that finished, I got made redundant. I applied for Maternity Allowance as I was on maternity leave on the test period, it was the highest amount of stat leave that I received. (£700 ish) I submitted the payslips to MA.
I am due in January and wanted the pay to start in January. They have said I will get regular payment within 15-20 working days but have said my maternity allowance will end on my due date?? Is that right??? Should I be ringing them up? I thought it lasts 39 weeks?
