Reusing previous glasses frames

I need to review my glasses prescription soon and suspect I will need to get new glasses (short-sighted). At the moment I have two pairs of previous frames that I feel suit me and would like to reuse, rather than spend £100 or so. Most high street opticians unsurprisingly dont allow reuse of frames.

Has anyone used a service like this that they would recommend? I've seen a few online but would love to get some recommendations!

Thanks!

Might be worth finding an independent opticians as sometimes they are more open to certain things because they need the business more. I have one near me that has a glasses factory right on site so they can do minor adjustments much quicker.

My opticians definitely allows reuse of frames. I thought most did

I recently used Reglaze Glasses Direct with some trepidation (I'm a cautious one!) and all went very well. You can add in your options to see the price before committing.

I goty foster son new glasses. He fell over and broke the glass. I took them back and they just had new glass put on one side for me.

I've reglazed old frames at SpecSavers several times, but each time I come out feeling that I didn't really save any money!

Buy new on a 2 for 1 deal and keep the old ones as spares, for the office etc.

all opticians have allowed me to do it.
but the frame costs so little compared to the glasses it often doesn't make a big financial difference.

A local independent opticians reglazed a pair of my old frames for DD recently.

Asda opticians told me it was no cheaper!

If you really like your old frames go for it, but if you’re looking to save money be careful!

I did it once but it didn’t save me much money as my prescription had change so much it was spec savers I did itthrough
