i was looking to make a Cherry Bakewell pudding but I’ve seen that 250g of ground almonds is £4.20, £6.50 for 500g! So that’s a no!

Anyone else had to change their meal plans recently?

I refuse to buy the Tesco cheesecake which is now £4.80. Kids keep asking for it but it just doesn’t seem worth it. Sometimes it’s on offer, but they only reduce it by about 60p which is still too much.

The frozen ones are cheaper but not as nice.

The price of chocolate and cake is also ridiculous. I’ve started cooking more deserts myself to keep the costs down.

In the Lidl app you can see all your digital receipts so I can tell you in July 2021 500g of lean mince was £2.49. 😭

Mince has really gone up on price.
I use less of it now and bulk dishes up with lentils or veg.

Butter prices have massively increased too. £5 for Lurpak! Not that I buy it. Aldi version (for this and everything) all the way...!

My cat visited the vet today as he's been off colour. He has to be sedated to be examined because he's a bad tempered bastard,so that does put the price up but even so! Examination, bloods, teeth scaled and antibiotics prescribed...£540!
I dithered about renewing his pet insurance earlier this year because that had rocketed too,but I'm glad I did. However I'm.sure the small print will avoid them paying out on as much as possible!

Crikey . My JRT was born without enamel on her teeth and has had regular tooth extractions under sedation, teeth cleaned and scaled plus claws clipped every time.
The cost has been so reasonable over the years approximately £200-250 each visit.
Most recently last week! She has now lost 19 teeth 🤦‍♀️Pet insurance doesn’t cover dental work so am so grateful that our vet is sooo reasonable!
